SOLIDARITY CAMPAIGN

BRAINSTORM-PLANNING 3rd ESO:

EUROSCOLA - CRAZY FRIENDS

Introduction: We want to contribute to the goals through education. We think that education can affect the rest of the goals: learning how to fish is better than being given the fish!

as we are students we want students our age have the same opportunities in less favored places.

The 6 questions. Humberto asks us to answer these 6 questions like journalists do. Why, where, when, what, how and who.

Why? We want to help children and teenagers our age to have access to eduaction.

Where? Badalona, Spain, Europe.

 and Dakar, Senegal, Africa. 

We can collect things here and make people aware of their situation. Our teacher Humberto goes to Senegal for Easter holidays and he can help us take what we collect there directly.

When? Planning:

What? We will collect SCHOOL MATERIALS. With the other three teams in our school we will also collaborate (like the 8th goal: create partnerships!) collecting SPORTS MATERIALS, CLOTHES and TOYS/GAMES.

Our ideas: 

• Stationary: Pencils, colours, glue, scissors, erasers, notebooks, pencil cases.
• Sports: T-shirts, footballs (+pumper), tennis balls
• Clothes: for children
• Games: educational

How? Organizing events at school next week and if it works the following one too. Ideas:

Project 1: Sell home-made food, during break. 

• Muffins (1€ a piece) 
• Cakes pieces (0.50€)
• Crepes (0.50€). 

Our teacher decided to raise money like this in class: every time we didn't speak in English we have to give 50 cent for the ingredients. at the end this is our results :)

Meriam: 4,5€   Moha: 2 €  Kacem: 2€  Otman: 0,50 Najla: 0,50

Jaume: 0,50 We don't ring the money but use it for the ingredients, wrapping paper...

IMPORTANT: Ask for permission to headteacher. 

Proposed date: Next Wednesday 18 April in the break.

-Get the help of our families in the kitchen

-Two of us will inform class by class

-Bring tools and napkins

-Make adverts and prices tags

Project 2: Organize football match 0.50 for participating

To earn money to buy school materials, sports materials... Make a video too.

Proposed date: Next Wednesday 18 April in the break.

-The game at Eurscola webpage didn't work very well but the video is very inspiring. Homeless people worldcup to raise awareness. 
One of us is from Chile and we are happy to see so many nationalities in the competition. Like in our school! We are 21 nationalities... there they were 70! Senegal also participated we saw the team in the video!!

Project 3: Make a poster informing about European Union, 8 Goals of the Millenium, Education and Senegal.

We want to do this collaborating among the 4 groups in Euroscola 2015 at SI Badalona. Cooperation among us!

TO DO LIST:

-Make posters for each thing we collect: drawings, photos, maps, flags...

-Bring boxes and decorate them to contain the materials (ask Aula Oberta for help: they are making boxes and can help us)

-Ideas for the posters: informate, decorate, interactuate. 

• Idea 1: QR codes and games, quiz or contest.
• Idea 2: Both flags have stars, we can use this commonality. 
• Idea 3: We can also invent a new goal that unifies all the 8 goals of the millennium: HAPPINESS! Education (goal number 2, can help a lot for that!: look for sentences about education from our own cultures: Europe, Africa, Asia...)
• Idea 4: Make games to attract students (younger and older, different levels, from 1st of ESO to 4th of ESO).

Project 4: Audiovisual materials for the campaign

Take photos, videos... For the blog. 

Create a web.

Post in school blog.

Tell others beyond SI Badalona: other schools, families...

Ideas for videos:

-Lipdub... mind copyright with music. JAMENDO is a web where there is free music (copyleft). (Collaboration of music teacher Silvia).

-Stop motion... Flags... Stars. (With Technology?)

-Introduction in French for the children in Africa to know us (collaboration of French teacher Joana)

     

Who?

We distribute the tasks among us.

-Bring boxes and decorate

-Start making posters: research, print, games, QR codes...

-Cooking, making posters, work in other subjects.

-Spread the word at school, in other schools and at home.

Ask other teams for collaboration together to help them and help us.

Our teacher will help us find a project where to  give the materials.
